The Surron Ultra Bee build experience. RCHacker #88
WIll move motorbike content to my other channel. @marclazarusgriffith
So I watched the @FortNine Surron Ultra Bee review: ua-cam.com/video/pa9R-wqp1Zk/v-deo.html and bought one.
Cheers Ryan I am very happy with it.
I went to a dealer on the Gold Coast and sat on one. While there I also had a sit on the the Storm Bee. Went home, had a think about it then bought the Ultra Bee from the same dealer online.
Delivery took quite a while. It took a week to get moving and then got stuck in Bundaberg. I ended up having to pick it up from there myself.
While I waited for delivery I binged on Adam Rieman @MotologyFilms. Watching him go to all the places I toured last season for work was pretty special. His channel is awesome.
I rode dirt bikes in the bush when I was younger. DR250, TT350 and later tried my brothers DR650. This thing is like science fiction to those old thumpers.
It goes like stink and is smooth and quiet. I use it here around town and in the surrounding bush. The tyres on the R version go pretty good in the sand. Range currently exceeds my physical endurance and I can ride around the bush for a good few hours and still get home with 40% left. Its great for drills and building up my skills.

Squeezing the secret beans out of cleanflight. Yes I have a racing quad, and have been having fun tuning it. This is a recent flight after adjusting a setting that is probably overlooked by many people. If you are using BLHeli with oneshot125 try increasing the max throttle to 1950 in cleanflight. You will see the difference it made for me when I maiden this in the next video. An ESC calibratio...

Product links below. Immersion RC 5.8GHz 25mW, Fatshark Attitude v3, FrSky D4R-II and Taranis. Most of the gear for this review was provided by NextFPV, cheers Rob. This is not my regular home made antennas and hacked together bits and pieces. This is current equipment that anyone can go out and buy. The FrSky gear is solid as usual and the low power 25mW 5.8G module worked surprisingly well. w...

A scratch build balsa nine motor multicopter, or nonacopter. Eight motors arranged in an H configuration with one at the rear with a yaw servo. The nine motors provide extra redundancy with no loss of control with any single motor fail. Theoretically 5 motors could fail an this could keep flying. 6.2. have just put risers on which feels better and peg lowering mounts are in the mail.
@@Rchacker I'm 6'5, I hope risers and lower pegs will be enough for me
Oh... a Mou..Moun cycle
Where did you order your bike from?
ampdbros
wow, thought you where lost at sea! nice bike, i want. can you run simonk firmware on it?
Nice, is pretty responsive as it. Would be great if it was open source.
That's awesome Mark! I have the same bike (6 months now) You are going to get obsessed with it soon ;-) Pull the stock stickers off and get some Kung Fu graphics on there for some cool upgrades.
Cheers. I already have a few bits to put on. Torp controller is on the list.
Thank ypu very much for this video ! Even 11 years after
Hi Mark, stumbled across your video and was intrigued. I wanted some transparent foaming material but that doesn't appear to be available and your idea might work. Had to try so chucked a roll of transparent PETG in water over night and have done some test prints. Whilst there might be some expansion/foaming on the soaked filament it is tiny, almost unmeasurable...no where near what you achieved for sure. Trying some non transparent PETG now but was wondering what brand filament you used? Done any more experiments?
What is that 9 prop drone? It looks awsome steampunk!
There is GPS interference in my area. Is it possible to strengthen the antenna signal or are there solutions to this problem? Thank you

can you make a video studying the trivec avant satcom antenna enginneering?
Which software do you use for far field calculations? and can it calculate the fields with a reflector?
I have on I need a charger so bad help ebay is not a good option I don't trust them
Hi Mark, nice to know you are back. I had been watching your videos since 10 years ago or so. Great content. Keep it up! PETG LW is very creative! I’m printing RC airplane using PLA LW from eSun and others. Not cheap but it works.
Marc, Glad to hear from you Dude! Your work with RC on this channel is part of the foundations of UA-cam I know today. - great to see you posting again and will be watching out for any further vids you have to offer.
u back? meeeen im glad to see u again!!
Back to the Muertos......hehehe
Would a dozen Vees attached next to each other increase the signal strength ?? Thanks
Daaaaamn, glad to see you're still around man! You still in Ecuador?
Cool. I‘ll have to try that.
Google translate ;)
@@marclazarusgriffith thank you Marc! great! I print on two homemade custom h-bot. I'm waiting for your videos!
Very nice indeed ! did you weigh it ?
Not these ones, my scales are not accurate enough. These all have the same flow rate, so assuming all the water turns to steam they should weigh the same. I've since printed parts with the flow rate reduced, same dimensions, 50% less filament.
Interesting, did you test what the strength was like?
It doesn’t spring back to shape as well but it’s still pretty tough. I expect tougher than LW- PLA
New video from Marc? UA-cam must be broken... lol Nope! It's been a long time man, glad to see you posting something new!
Thanks, not going to go too crazy here. Will be posting a bit about native bees at www.youtube.com/@marclazarusgriffith in the future.
The Moxpn web site has been hacked by the look of it.
Bring back RCHacker! it's been 7 years!
7 years ago! What happened to RCHacker?
These days I see so many talking about how important setting end points is there any way to set them on these old radios?
I don't know why you put the speed of light at 298. In vacuum it's 299 792 458 and in air 299 700 000 m/s (cutting a few insignificant digits from the value for air since it varies slightly with temperature). In both cases, 300 x 10^6 would be a better approximation. Interesting video anyway since I need to learn a little about antennas.
Expectation: Turnigy meter teardown. Reality: sloppy soldering shitshow 90% of the video. 0/5
-Prefill the XT w/solder -Tin the meter wire -Heat the XT & then insert the wire -Done
video show , very good .
you can tune the driven and the reflector by hanging a wire from one of the corners on each element, then trim the wire to tune. Use field strength meters or VNA to fine tune.
If you changed your crystal, you needed to retune the IF . but most of us didn't.
cool
Very good TX, I have one 14 yers ago.👍🤗🇧🇷
What frequency Rang ?
Still flying mine after about 5 years. It has it's quirks, yes, but actually handles crashes pretty well. Binned mine a bunch of times. Came here just now to find out what people have done with flight controllers in these frames because I've been running a CC3D Atom for years. It was what fit the frame best at the time, but it's very old now so looking to upgrade for the least $$ possible. Thanks for the detailed overview.
Thank you! Your second pronunciation of fu ta ba , is correct. Japanese syllables are organized in a table of sounds call Gojuon-zu(literally means table of 50 sounds).
Thanks. I've been looking for a design for an End Fed Half Wave Antenna for ages but couldn't remember what it was called ;)
Well done.
Thanks for the video. Your video has helped me modify my 6 channel Futaba Conquest AM 72mhz. I found an IC similar to the one you showed, in my case it is the NE5044. I searched the internet and found the technical sheet. With that I could read the data from a pin and, with an arduino, be able to use the radio in 2.4g. I have been using the radio in this way for months and it works great. Thanks again for sharing information. Greetings from Argentina.
I have the same one but in a 6 channel model in the closet and it still works. Even have the reciever and servos, the charger and batteries but those are shot... the price.. IIRC I spent 275$ on it...
Hi, i want to use the R9M Telemetry Module with my Th9X V2 Transmitter. So if i modify the pins and pads on the tx like shown here and connect my R9M module in the JR Bay will i be able to access telemetry? Or will i have to make changes on the R9M Internally too?
can you sale tx rc for me??
I have a brand new in the box Futaba Conquest FM FP-4NBF 4-channel with a extra 4th servo also new in the package I bought new in high school. I just knocked the dust off of it and a brand new in the box O.S. MAX .40 FP 2-stroke I bought the same day at the same place. Somebody says "these are vintage now?" Well yeah duh dude.....I'm 44 years old now and I bought these when I was in high school. That means they are nearly 30 years old and ago...... Just started getting back into R/C glow/nitro planes and it was sparked by a recent interest in micro Nano class 3.7 LiPo electric helicopters. Fly the choppers inside and out. Fly the nitro gassers outside. I don't care for electric planes and never have. I've been looking at new Sig kits to build up and more gear to go with them. Recently I bought a Spektrum DX6 6-channel radio and have been placing bids on other vintage O.S. engines on Ebay. I want to pickup where I left off and do it the way we used to do it. I don't want a ARF foam plane with electric power plant.

"Teardown" you only took the cover off. I need to know the value of the resistor R29.
